FAQ for Companies
I don't know how to get started
You’re probably here because an organization asked you to complete the Fluency Score process.
1. Log into or create your account.
2. Navigate to the Score Requests page and click “Approve” on the pending request to access the data collection process.
See the other FAQs for help if you don’t see a pending request or if the request has expired.
I don't see a pending request on the Score Requests page
First, navigate to the Score Requests page in your account.
If there is a pending request, you will find it here. Click “Approve” to begin the process.
If you do not see a pending request on the Score Requests page:
1. You may have signed into your account using a different email address than the one the organization used to make the request. Please check with your contact person at the organization to confirm which email address was used on their end.
If this happened, you have two easy solutions, depending on which email address you want associated with your Fluency Score data:
- If you already have Fluency Scores associated with your company, please ask the organization to submit a new invitation to this email address. This will keep all of your company Fluency Score data in a single profile.
- If this is your first Fluency Score, you can either choose to create a new account using the email address the organization already used OR ask the organization to submit a new invitation to this email address. The choice here is about associating your Fluency Score data with the correct email address.
2. The organization did not (yet) submit an invitation for you to complete the Fluency Score process.
While it is possible for companies to purchase a Fluency Score on their own, 99% of the time this process is initiated at the request of an organization that is interested in working with you in some capacity (funding, accelerator, competition, or other resources).
If you believe an organization is actively waiting for you to complete the Fluency Score process and you don’t see a pending request on the Score Requests page, please contact the organization to confirm they have submitted the invitation and double check what email address they used.
The Score Request invitation has expired
Once an organization submits an invitation to complete the Fluency Score process, you have 14 days before the invitation expires.
Depending on the needs of the organization that invited you, it may be possible to re-activate an expired request.
Please complete the form below to request a reactivation of the expired invitation. We will contact the organization and confirm they still want this data. If so, we’ll process the request and you’ll receive an automated email letting you know the request is now pending.
Keep an eye out for emails from info@fluencyscore.com and/or check the Score Requests page to see an active invitation. Reactivation requests are processed within 48 hours and may take longer, depending on how fast we hear back from the organization.
I can't add milestones to my timeline
We have a known, intermittent bug in the Timeline feature for Company profiles. In some cases, you will not be able to add milestones to your timeline.
If this happens to you, we are sorry!
The good news is that timeline milestones are a nice-to-have, but are NOT a factor in your Fluency Score(s). You can skip this completely.
However, please do not confuse the timeline milestones with actually completing the Fluency Score process. If you have created your account and are wondering what to do next, you almost certainly have a pending invitation from an organization that initiated this process on your behalf.
Please visit the Score Requests page to get started or see the other FAQs if there is an issue with accessing the Score Request invitation.
FAQ for Organizations
I'm getting an error message when I order scores
This error message appears when you try to order a score for a company that has previously allowed a request to expire. The system is designed to prevent multiple requests for a company that has not indicated they want to provide data for the Fluency Score process.
If you are ordering scores for multiple companies at once, start by ordering them one by one or in batches of new companies first.
You can also review the status of all previous orders on the My Orders page. If a company you are trying to order a score for has a prior invitation with a status “Expired”, that is the company generating the error message in your order. Skip it for now and complete the rest of your order.
See the next FAQ for how to reactivate an expired score request.
I need to reactivate an expired Fluency Score invitation
If you have one or more score requests that have expired (status is “No Reply” in your Fluency Score account), you can use this form to have the request manually reactivated. Most requests will be processed within 24-48 hours of submission. You will receive email status updates on these orders through the Fluency Score platform and can check the status here.
Please note that this form can only be honored one time per score request. We want to prevent situations where the founder is not expecting the request and lets the invitation expire a second time or marks the email invitations as spam.
Please clearly communicate with the founder prior to submitting this request and get their consent and approval that they are ready to complete the request when they receive it.
On the other hand, if you want to request a new score for a company, please use the Order Scores page in your Fluency Score to initiate the process for the first time. This form can only be used to reactivate a request that has expired.
I used the wrong email address to invite a company
Sometimes a company will have more than one email address that they regularly use for communications with you.
It’s important that all Fluency Scores for a company are completed using the same email address, so that the data stays connected.
If you have already invited a company using the wrong email address, please advise the company to ignore that request. It will expire within 14 days of when you initiated the process.
You can order a new score for them, either with the preferred email address or by selecting the existing company profile from the Order page dropdown, without this affecting your data subscription in any way.
